Zebra Technologies' leading healthcare device approved for use with Epic's clinical application

Touch computer compatible with Epic Rover to empower clinicians with tools to promote patient care

LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. — October 22, 2020 — Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA), an innovator at the front line of business with solutions and partners that deliver a performance edge, announced that its Zebra's TC52-HC touch computer is approved for use with Rover, a clinical mobile application from Epic, a global leader in electronic health records (EHR).

The TC52-HC running Epic Rover will allow users to document and conduct barcode validation at the point of care. By utilizing Rover's clinical and lab features on the TC52-HC, nurses and phlebotomists can quickly access information held in the EMR, such as patient charts, at the point of care to complete their tasks and make informed decisions in real time.

"The ability to access data at the point of care is crucial for delivering the best care possible," said Rikki Jennings, Chief Nursing Informatics Officer, Zebra Technologies. "With the approval of the TC52-HC for use with this clinical mobile application, healthcare providers can equip their clinicians with tools to become better advocates for their patients."

Purpose-built for healthcare environments, the TC52-HC is designed to help increase productivity and collaboration between clinicians, allowing caregivers to spend more time with patients at the point-of-care. Clinicians can access and review patient information, in real time, with a goal to improve workflows and productivity. The Android-powered TC52-HC touch computer is also built to withstand repeated exposure to disinfectants often used in healthcare settings and eliminates the need for providers to carry multiple devices.
