Durabook Americas expands executive team to fuel continued growth

Industry veteran Joe Guest takes president role at rugged computer company

FREMONT, CA — May 1, 2018 — Durabook Americas, Inc., the North American subsidiary of Twinhead International Corporation, announced today that due to increased demand for its DURABOOK product line and an aggressive growth strategy, the company has expanded its executive ranks. Former President, Tom Wang will now serve as Chief Operating Officer, and industry veteran, Joe Guest, will take the helm as the company's new President. Mr. Guest will focus on expanding the team's sales force, and building customer-driven rugged computing solutions for the military, law enforcement, field service and other markets with highly mobile workforces operating in demanding environments.

"We have experienced steady growth over the last few years, our stock is on the rise, and recent sales have jumped significantly," said Tom Wang, Chief Operating Officer, Durabook Americas. "To maintain this momentum, expanding our executive team is a necessity. With Joe coming on board, and bringing a wealth of market experience and relationships, it frees me to focus on expanding our ability to deliver the operational experience our customers expect and deserve."

Moving forward, Mr. Wang will focus on corporate strategy and ongoing business operations; ensuring the company maintains the efficient supply chain and business practices that have fostered its growth since his arrival in 2014.

Joe Guest began his career in the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard as a Program Manager working in various computer and telecommunication environments. Following the Air Force, Mr. Guest joined Abacus Technology where he worked at the Pentagon as a Program Manager supporting the IT requirements of the Air Staff. Mr. Guest has also held positions at Panasonic, where he focused on the use of rugged technologies in military flight line maintenance applications, and also at NCS Technologies as the Director of Air Force Sales and later as the Vice President of Sales.

"Having served in the Air Force, I understand the needs, challenges and operational complexities DOD customers face," said Joe Guest, President, Durabook Americas. "Having this shared experience with our customers will make it easy to engage in dialogues that result in solutions designed to address their specific needs. We already have the infrastructure and engineering capabilities to compete with the market leaders in the rugged space. Now we need to focus on developing customer-driven solutions and expanding our sales ranks to include more people with direct experience in the markets they serve. Together, Tom and I will continue to build Durabook Americas into a world-class organization capable of delivering a best-in-class customer experience."

Mr. Guest and Mr. Wang will work together on developing the company's strategy, vision and product line.

These moves follow on the heels of February's name change from GammaTech Computer Corporation to Durabook Americas, Inc. The new name reflects the company's longstanding focus on the DURABOOK brand as well as changing market conditions that emphasize the need for reliable, purpose-built, mobile computing solutions.

Known for reliability, performance and attractive acquisition costs, the DURABOOK brand has a loyal customer base around the globe. DURABOOK devices are used by most branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, public safety agencies across the country, numerous field service organizations, as well as companies in oil & gas, logistics, healthcare, utilities and automotive markets.
