TOLEDO, Ohio, 19 June 2018, USA — June 19, 2018 — Estone Technology has announced the release of the PPC-6721, a 21.5" Panel PC in the same efficient, flexible, rugged class as our other 7" and 10" PPC entries. This large format panel PC is perfect for digital signage, video conferencing, and specialty vending or food service applications. The PPC-6712 is available now from Estone Technology.

Estone Technology is already well known for embedded boards, rugged tablets, and durable panel PCs. However, as the marketspace for panel PCs has grown, so too has the need for a variety of size options. The new 21.5" touchscreen is more than twice the size of our previous largest screens, but retains the silent, fanless cooling and durable, IP65 waterproof construction we're known for.

The panel PC system offers brilliant 1920 x 1080 resolution in a 10-point, projected capacitive touchscreen, and features powerful 6W stereo speakers. The system is powered by an Intel Bay Trail Celeron J1900 processor, and up to 8GB of DDR3L SO-DIMM RAM. A variety of built in I/O ports include USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, RS-232, and both VGA and HDMI-Out for secondary screens. An included mSATA slot provides all of the necessary storage for any application, and an on-board mini-PCIe slot makes it simple to add 801.11 WiFi, Bluetooth, or other necessary functions. Included 75 x 75 and 100 x 100 VESA mounting makes it simple to install the panel PC anywhere, and a steel enclosure provides rugged durability.

The PPC-6721 was designed to primarily serve large-format customer-facing applications. The PC will function in temperatures ranging from 0° to 50°C, and the front panel is IP65 compliant, making it a good choice even for outdoor and weather-facing applications. It will support both Windows and Linux operating systems, making it flexible for both conventional applications and more secure applications such as gaming or finance.
